The Heritage of Ida Baptist Cburch

Ida Baptist Church has been a part of the Ida community and Grayson County since 1897. Over the years, the faces and names may have changed, but the heart of the church has remained steadfast - specifically, Jesus Christ the Lord.

Drawing from its rich heritage, Ida Baptist Church holds weekly gatherings for worship, praise, and the preaching of the Word. You can look forward to services that beautifully blend traditional hymns with contemporary worship songs. The sermons are firmly rooted in the inerrant Scripture and honor Christ as Savior and Lord.

The environment is warm and inviting. You will immediately feel a sense of belonging to this family of faith as soon as you enter the door.

Mike began serving as Pastor of Ida Baptist Church in July of 2025. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from East Texas Baptist University. Mike has extensive ministry experience as a pastor, worship leader, and administrator. Mike is retired from a career in Christian higher education and in addition to serving Ida Baptist Church also teaches Driver's Education. He enjoys sports of all kinds and is currently an umpire of high school baseball in Collin County through the Texas Association of Sports Officials. He is married to Sandra. They have 6 children and 7 grandchildren.

Trent joined Ida Baptist Church in October of 2025. With over 25 years of experience in worship leadership, Trent's passion and enthusiasm are truly infectious and motivating. He is married to Kristi, who assists him in his ministry.
